Privacy policy
Last updated
This policy explains what personal data CryptoQuizzer (“we”) collects when you use this website, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to every page on this domain.
Who is responsible
CryptoQuizzer is run by its owner, who acts as the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us at contact@cryptoquizzer.com.
What we collect and why
Visiting the site
When you open a page, our hosting provider processes the technical data your browser sends: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, your browser and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the pages, keep the site secure and detect abuse. It is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website and is kept in server logs for a limited period set by the provider before it is deleted or anonymised.
Writing to us
If you e-mail us, we keep your address and your message for as long as needed to answer you and to follow up on the issue, for example to publish a correction. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed. The basis for this processing is your request.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set cookies for advertising or profiling and we do not run third-party analytics scripts. If the site ever needs a cookie for a function you use, that cookie will be described here first and, where the law requires it, you will be asked before it is set. Your browser may store small amounts of data for its own purposes, such as caching pages and fonts.
Fonts, images and other files
Fonts and images are served from this site, so no font or image service receives your data when a page loads.
Links to other websites
This site links to the websites and apps of the platforms whose quizzes we describe, to their official help pages and, in clearly marked cases, through affiliate links. When you follow a link, the other site’s own privacy policy applies. An affiliate link may let the platform know that you arrived from CryptoQuizzer; we receive aggregate information about sign-ups, never your personal details. Read our affiliate disclosure for how these links work.
Who receives your data
Your data is processed by the companies that provide our hosting and e-mail infrastructure, acting on our behalf. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose data only where the law requires it.
International transfers
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: for the retention period applied by the hosting provider, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
- E-mail correspondence: until the matter is closed, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@cryptoquizzer.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. The platforms we write about require their users to be adults.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site works changes – for example if we add a comment function, a newsletter or analytics – this policy will be updated before the change goes live, and the date at the top of the page will show when it was last revised.
