What the lesson covers
The lesson contrasts buying a coin outright with buying hashrate. On a proof-of-work network, machines do the work and the pool pays under its rules. Hashrate is that computing power. Cloud mining, as the lesson describes it, is a contract for a set amount of hashrate for a set time. The provider runs the machines, and output is credited over the period under the settlement rules.
It names BTC, DOGE, LTC, ZEC and KAS as coins a reader might accumulate this way. On KuMining you pay the hashrate fee when you place the order. Electricity is a separate, ongoing cost. The lesson says you should understand both costs, and that output depends on real mining conditions, before you buy a plan.
