Lesson 1: Introducing the Pyth Network

3 questions
  1. What is the oracle problem?

Correct answerBlockchains can't send or receive data from external systems.

Note: A second version of this answer, "Blockchains can't function without nodes", circulates; the course defines the oracle problem as blockchains being cut off from outside data, so choose that option.

    Why this is correct

Smart contracts cannot fetch prices or other real-world data on their own. An oracle such as Pyth brings that data on-chain.

  2. Which statement represents Pyth's core business model?

Correct answerPyth connects market data to blockchains.

  3. Which of the following categories are the majority of PYTH tokens used for?

    Correct answerEcosystem growth

Lesson 2: Price feeds

3 questions
  1. Which parties are involved in a Pyth price feed?

Correct answerFinancial institutions, Pyth Network, and applications

  2. What are the benefits of Pyth's pull oracle model?

    Correct answerTrust, cost, and speed

    Why this is correct

In a pull model the application requests the latest price when it needs it, instead of paying for constant updates.

  3. How many cross-chain updates has Pyth published?

    Correct answerOver 1 billion

Lesson 3: Oracle Integrity Staking

3 questions
  1. What does Oracle Integrity Staking protect?

Correct answerDeFi applications and their users

  2. When can stake tokens be slashed and distributed to affected parties?

Correct answerWhen data providers publish inaccurate data

  3. Pyth Network is the first oracle to…

Correct answerOffer protection for all published price feed data

Question wording may differ slightly from your app. Look for the answer text rather than the option's position.

Where to find the Pyth course

Open the Revolut app, go to the Crypto tab, tap Discover and scroll to Learn. Tap See all for the full list. If the course does not appear, it is not offered in your country or has been retired.

What the course is about

Pyth delivers market prices from exchanges and trading firms to blockchains. Lesson 1 explains the oracle problem and Pyth’s business model, lesson 2 how its pull-based price feeds work, and lesson 3 Oracle Integrity Staking, where staked PYTH can be slashed if a publisher posts bad data.

The oracle problem question

The first question is the one people get wrong most often. The course’s point is that a blockchain cannot reach outside itself for data – pick the option about sending or receiving data from external systems, not the one about nodes.

If your questions look different

Revolut shuffles answer options and occasionally rewords a question. Match the answer text rather than its position. If a question is completely new, the course has been updated – tell us and we will add it.

If the reward did not arrive

Wait up to two business days. Then check that you finished crypto onboarding before the lesson and that a reward was shown on the lesson card before you started. If the card showed no reward, the budget for this course is used up in your region.
